K-BOOTS can be used with conformal coating materials such as acrylics, epoxies, silicones, polyurethanes, and parylenes.
K-BOOTS provide component protection during spraying, dipping, vacuum process coating, and also wave soldering of the printed circuit board.
K-BOOTS are supplied in different colors and elastomers as the application requires, such as the protection of the static sensitive components. Low hardness elastomers are most popular due to their increased sealing properties.
Labors costs are decreased and production is increased when K-BOOTS are utilized instead of other methods of masking such as RTV silicones, masking tapes, and latex. Savings are further multiplied because the masking boots can be reused.
Because of the consistent tolerances that are held during the manufacture of the masking boot, much touch up work is eliminated, whether it be adding or removing the conformal coating.
The design of the K-BOOT is dependent upon the location of the element on the P.C. Board, the type of conformal coating, and how it is applied. Kinnarney Rubber Company is a customer oriented product engineering team serving the needs of industry for more than 35 years. We will put our people to work to help you solve not only masking related problems, but any molded rubber product from prototype to production.
